After a couple of weeks off the radar, I’m back from my holidays now and am officially back in the driving seat! I’m am honestly still blown away with the level of support and kindness I’ve received from all of you lovely lot. It really does mean the world and I am grateful to each and every one of you for wishing me well and giving me a little confidence boost along the way!
Firstly, as you will have seen, my beautiful business cards have arrived. I’ve been liberally dishing them out to anyone and everyone who might be interested or might have a marketing requirement! If you’ve been lucky enough to escape unscathed, don’t worry, there is still plenty of time for me to catch up with you!!
Something quite exciting that I have recently discovered is the Business Start-Up Support project that the Cumbria Chamber of Commerce offers. If you run your own business but have never heard of them, I would say give them a quick Google. [or click here] They offer complimentary help, support and advice to start-up businesses in their first 3 years of trading. They will take some details from you about your business idea and will put you in touch with a business advisor who will meet up with you and help you along your way in whichever area you need the most support. I’ve chosen the bookkeeping/financial elements and I’m quite impressed so far! Well worth a look into I would say and let’s be honest, we all love a freebie!
Now this is something a bit different, but I’m calling on all of you to help out! It’s World Oceans Day on Saturday 8th June and given that we live in the most beautiful part of the world, I’m proposing that we all get out there and do our bit on this day of ocean and sea celebrations. There are a number of planned beach cleans around the area, one at Mawbray [click here for more info] The Aquarium in Maryport is hosting a weekend of events and discounts on entry into the Aquarium too! [click here for more info] Finally, the Rotary Club in Silloth is also hosting a beach clean too [click here for more info] so take your pick and I’ll see you there with my litter in hand! Don’t forget to #WorldOceansDay too!
I’m also delighted to be working alongside some really cool clients and working in some industries I’ve not been a part of before. I feel lucky to be able to wake up each morning and look forward to the day and the new challenges it brings me! There’s a super famous quote out there that goes along the lines of “do something you love, and you will never work a day in your life” and it’s so true! So if marketing, social media, website stuff is the bit you hate the most about your day, just give me a shout and I will be more than happy to help!!
